Record Availability - records are available from January 1913
to present. Records prior to January
1913 may be available, however they have
to be recovered from archive and the
turnaround time may be significantly
longer.
If you would like to rush your request then there will be an additional
minimum charge of $25.00 to cover the
costs of express delivery.
A signed release is not required to
obtain a copy of the Birth Certificate,
however, a picture ID is required.
Alaska states that Birth Certificates

Results are sent to you either by regular US Postal Service mail. We are able to fulfill rush orders using an express carrier such as FedEx, but rush orders can ONLY be delivered to a street address, not to a PO Box or military address. We cannot guarantee
turnaround time as we are dependent on
the state getting back to us in a timely
fashion, and this can vary widely with
the load that the records office is
experiencing. County offices have
limited personnel and are often swamped
with paper work.
